1937 Madrid – lives in Paris and Madrid
Emigrated in 1958 to Paris due to the Franco regime. Participation at "Salon de la Jeune Peinture" at Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, 1960. Representative of "Nouvelle Figuration" and "Figuration Narrative". Retrospective "Eduardo Arroyo, 1962-1982, 20 anos de pintura" at the Salas Ruiz Picasso, Madrid 1982. One-man show at Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich 1980, Centre Georges-Pompidou, Paris 1982, Museo Espanol de Arte Contemporáneo, Madrid 1984, Guggenheim Museum, New York 1984, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid 2002, Luwig Museum, Budapest 2003, Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, Valencia 2008. Participated at Biennale, Paris 1963, Biennale, Venice 1976 and 1995, Documenta 6, Kassel 1977. Works as stage designer; mainly cooperating with Klaus Michael Grüber.
